Putana and I

A dance theatre presentation.

A solo dance theatre piece that explores the shifting relationship between the mythological character Putana and the actor that aspires to embody her in all her complexity and enormity. Inspired by A K Ramanujam’ s poem and Mahashweta devi’s short stories, developed at the Gati Dance Residency under the mentorship of Susanne Linke, Urs Dietriche and Sankar Venkateshwaran.
